About Hannah Kautz Counseling

About Me

My philosophy is to help clients cope with everyday stress and to figure out how to have the most fulfilled lives possible. I work with children, adolescents, and adults who are dealing with depression, anxiety, addiction, and grief. My theoretical orientation is Person-Centered Therapy, DBT, CBT, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, as well as Behavioral Therapy. Being a Registered Play Therapist, I offer specialized treatment for children, adolescents, and parents. I also have training in and have worked with LGBTQIA+ populations.

I graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of General Studies in Psychology and a Master's in Counseling Psychology from the University of Saint Mary. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor with previous extensive experience with homeless veterans suffering from addiction and mental health issues.

While I currently work remotely from California, I continue to provide counseling services exclusively to clients located in Colorado. Remote counseling offers flexibility and accessibility, allowing clients to receive support from the comfort of their own space. Working remotely has enriched my ability to connect with clients in meaningful ways, providing personalized care through virtual platforms.

I have been married for over 10 years, have two young sons, and have three Golden Retrievers, Kate, Redford, and Ellie. I love to be outdoors hiking and spending time with family and friends.
